	OpenOffice 3.0 OpenOffice.org aims to compete with Microsoft Office and emulate its look and feel where suitable. It can read and write most of the file formats found in MS Office, and many other applications; an essential feature of the suite for many users.

	SoftMakerOffice SoftMaker Office has many functions of the correspondent programs from MS Office, OpenOffice.org. It uses its own native formats and is highly compatible with MS Office file formats. In comparison, it starts and runs much faster, needs less memory and processes also very large files without any problem.
It can read and write Microsoft Office file formats as well as Open Document Format (word processor only), RTF and HTML. Multi-language spell-checking, hyphenation and thesaurus is supported; furthermore an integrated five-language translation dictionary (English, German, French, Italian, and Spanish). The user interface is based on Microsoft Office' look and feel; so it is easy to switch over.

	Media Center This modules comes XBMC (Media Center ). XBMC supports most common audio, video, and image formats, playlists, audio visualizations, slideshows, weather reporting, and third-party plugins. It is network-capable (internet and LAN shares ).

Gnome
The GNOME project provides two things: The GNOME desktop environment, an intuitive and attractive desktop for users, and the GNOME development platform, an extensive framework for building applications that integrate into the rest of the desktop.

		Easy Install Applications You can install several programs that are not included on Dreamlinux due to legal constraints. Most of these programs are free although not Open Source. Find Easy-Install in your desktop to download and install these applications.
		Azureus Azureus is a bittorent client.		Opera Browser Opera is a web browser with severalsfeatures.
		Picasa 3 Picasa is a software application for organizing and editing digital photos.		Skype Skype is a software that allows users to make telephone calls over the Internet.
		Google-Earth 5.0 Google Earth is a virtual globe, map and geographic information program.		Wine Wine is a free software application that aims to allow Unix-like computer operating systems to execute programs written for Microsoft Windows.
		Google Desktop Google Desktop is desktop search software.The program allows text searches of a user's e-mails, computer files, music, photos, chats, etc.		SongBird Songbird is a free-software media player and web browser.Users can add features and change functionality in Songbird by installing extensions.
		Google Gadgets Google gadgets are interactive mini-applications that can be placed anywhere on the user's desktop.		XMMS The X Multimedia System (XMMS) is a free software audio player very similar to Winamp.
		Deluge Deluge is a BitTorrent client.It is intended to bring a native, full-featured client to GTK desktop environments such as GNOME and Xfce.		Xara LX Xara Xtreme (formerly Xara LX) is a 2D vector graphics editor.Xara Xtreme is notable for its usability and fast renderer.
		Kompozer KompoZer is an open source WYSIWYG HTML Editor based on the now discontinued Nvu editor.		Adobe Acrobat Adobe Acrobat Reader is a software, designed to view files in Adobe's Portable Document Format (PDF).
		Midori Midori Browser is a web browser that aims to be lightweight and fast. It uses the WebKit rendering engine and the GTK+ 2 interface. 		Mplayer MPlayer is a media player.MPlayer supports a wide variety of media formats. In addition to its wide range of supported formats MPlayer can also save all streamed content to a file.		W32Codecs w32codecs is a package of codecs for several video formats decoding as wma and wmv.
		Firefox 3.1 Firefox is a web browser. Version 3.1, include support for the <video> and <audio> tags. Another feature is a Private Browsing which, when active, does not store any data revealing a user's visited sites on the hard drive.
